North Loop Market

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport

Recently awarded the 2017 Best Airport Newsstand / Travel Essential store in the country by USA Today, the North Loop Market provides travelers with the same trendy vibe that is becoming part of the Twin Cities defining characteristics, as a way to give the Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport (MSP) a localized flavor to their retail scene. The store design and material palette take their cues from the warehouse district revitalization driven by re-use and resurrection of original hard-working materials. The use of reclaimed wood veneers and wire glass storefront bring a piece of the North Loop spirit to the main retail concourse at MSP airport while a combination of found vintage tables and merchandising displays give the store an eclectic open market feel. The store branding was also inspired by the once-industrial district, with a logo depicting a large brick factory building with a hint of market influence. The vintage seal on corrugated storefront material and on interior wood walls adds another layer of neighborhood vibe while the chalkboard art instills a market feel calling out local facts and tips from the North Loop/Twin Cities Area.
