Nike wanted to create a unique destination concept to appeal to the female college student/new grad consumer with unique and special lifestyle needs. RGLA partnered with Nike in exploring the Lincoln Park, Chicago retail corridor, directly adjacent to the DePaul University campus, to secure a location for the NTC pop-up store. The experience was created around this customer’s journey as she looks for opportunities to work out, take classes, and shop, in a social environment that reflects her needs and preferences for social engagement, digital information, and the ability to multi-task. In a few weeks’ time, the two-story space was transformed into a warm retail space with neighborhood identity and residential cues. A branded staircase leads up to a studio space with mirrored walls, bars, lockers and pommel horse seating, resulting in an urban-influenced atmosphere for both casual get-togethers, scheduled classes, and cool down time.
