International premier skincare company, Crabtree & Evelyn, turned to RGLA to help them execute a store design that would elevate the brand at the retail level and pay homage to the brand’s English heritage. The new concept implemented by RGLA provides a relaxing sanctuary that serves to reflect the brand characteristics and reinforces the natural and botanical origins of the products while promoting the new brand positioning of skin care rituals. It draws strongly upon the heritage of the English still room, home and garden with apothecary-inspired fixtures, botanical wallcovering and other storytelling elements that visually narrate the brand story and heritage while reinforcing the brand values and identity. Inspired by the brand’s English heritage with a contemporary twist, the concept has an inviting feel and an enhanced focus on product storytelling and exploration. Key features of the design include: a focal area for hand therapy, new communications hierarchy to visually narrate product stories, product testing clusters encouraging product sampling, new lighting system, and a central integrated service desk and demo area combined.
